En Clair Telegran

From Governor, MackO

To

Governor, Hongkong

Date 17th. August, 1910.

In reply to Your Excellency's telegram I beg to

state that up today total number of cases is as follows: –

chelera..................

..18

Typhoid Fever

.20

Gastro Enteritis

.32

Enteritis.......

..18

Febrile Enteritis

.79

Pebrils Gastro Bateritis.

These numbers in a Colony where such sicknOLHOS

are endemical and where recently there has been an increaIÐ

of thirty thousand Chiness show there is no reason for alara.

Allow me to repeat that the number of cases considering

increase of population is slightly higher than in previous

THEO IS Or bị ch fron statistical rot. OLIOS of

Cholers are rapidly disappearing and measures taken to avoid

their further coming from Oasion. Other cases are prizoipally

due to the heat and to carelessness about food and measure

are also taken to prevent their increasing. I beg to remov

to Your Excellency ny sarnast appeal to allow Chinese from

Macao to land at Hongkong anforcing measures used similar

preventivo sccasions before or other, measures that Your Excellency may

think fit not oausing so much harm to this Colony as the

total prohibition enforoad now.

Lover vor.
